Travellry is a play on the word travel and the suffix "-ery".  "-ery" on the end of a word takes on the meanings of art or practice, state or condition, and collection.  

This blog will share: 1) the art of travel that I have gained through personal experience

2) collections of some of my favorite places and moments from my travels and 3) increase your desire to travel the world: a state of Travellry.

I'm from a small city in the United States, in the state of Alabama.  I've travelled across large parts of the United States as well as several countries in Europe.  But I have a lot more to see!

In this blog, I'll be going by the nickname of "The Cartographer".  My friends all know me as the map maker because every trip I take, I build a Google Map showing all the places I want to see or visit.  And when I return, I update it to be the places I actually visited so I can help others find the same sites.

I'll also be nicknaming my friends that have travelled with me in this blog: "The Romantic", "The Naturalist", "The Hipster", 'The Athlete", "The Photographer", "My Husband", "My Mom" and one day I hope to include "The Foodie".  I hope to add more friends to this list as I travel and make new friends.
